              Mid-South Area Repeater Linking Net

This net links simultaneously with four other repeaters as described by and submitted by Scott KM4RT below.
----------------------------------------

* The “MARL Net” stands for Mid-South Area Repeater Linking Net. The purpose of t
his net is to make contacts, pass traffic, and build good-will and friendships among Mid-South Amateurs while promoting an interest in digital communications.

This net will meet the FOURTH Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm, with linked repeater systems in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The net launched its inaugural deployment last month and had over 30 check-ins from the tri-state area.

The Mid-South Area Repeater Linking Network is currently made up of four hosting clubs operating Yaesu System Fusion repeaters: they are:

• The W5HAR Helena Amateur Radio Group in Helena AR utilizing two locally linked repeaters on frequencies 444.875 and 146.805. Both using a tone of 91.5. WIRES-X Room Number: 62438.

• The W5OBM Olive Branch Amateur Radio Club in Olive Branch, MS utilizing the Craft Road 440-meter repeater on 442.8 with a 107.2 tone.

• The KE4ZBI Tipton Amateur Radio Society in Atoka, TN - using the 145.490 repeater with a 100.0 tone. WIRES-X Room Number: 64181.

• The KI5GEU repeater located in West Memphis, AR - using the 442.400 repeater with a 107.2 tone. WIRES-X Room Number: 68436.

Each month, net control will rotate among the participating repeaters. Although the net encourages digital communications, area amateurs may access the net in analog mode if they can hit any of the
four repeaters above during the net. They can come in on analog or C4FM Fusion. Other ways to access the net will include:

WIRES-X: to use the Yaesu WIRES-X system, any station will need to enter the WIRES-X system by connecting to the WIRES-X Room Number for the repeater hosting the net that night (see above for room numbers).

Echolink – using the K5OLV-L node.

NetLogger check-in using the NetLogger software: https://www.netlogger.org/. This will allow someone to “check in” by their callsign showing up on the NetLogger roster.
